The first phase of Stockport Story Museum is now open. Stockport Story follows the evolution of Stockport on a time line through the ages from Palaeolithic to the present day. In the first phase of the project see the fantastic finds from Mellor's archaeological dig and explore the Making of The Town gallery and smell what Medieval Stockport would have been like! On October 31st the museum launched its temporary exhibition gallery with the fantastic ‘Curious Contraptions' exhibition exploring gadgets and gizmos from the past 150 years. Late 2006 will see the final phase of Stockport Story Museum open to the public and complete the visitors journey through time. Look out for further details.
