MOSI is open 7 days a week (excluding 24 - 26 Dec and 1 Jan) from 10.00am - 5.00pm. Entry to our permanent galleries is free for everyone.

NewSearch for oldest known photo of people at work

Professor David Perrett, a visiting academic, is on a quest to find the oldest photograph of people working in Greater Manchester industry.

NewCorrie star becomes MOSI member

Coronation Street star David Neilson, who plays train enthusiast Roy Cropper in the ITV-Granada series, got a ride on the Museum’s replica 19th century Planet steam train this week, to celebrate his new position as honorary member of MOSI.
